- By Air: Jaipur International Airport is the main gateway, with direct flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. Jodhpur and Udaipur also have domestic airports.
- By Train: Rajasthan is very well connected by the Indian Railways network. Key trains include the Palace on Wheels (luxury), Shatabdi Express (Jaipur-Delhi), and Mandore Express (Delhi-Jodhpur).
- By Road: The NH48 (Delhi–Jaipur) is a 4-6 lane expressway. A VIP Tours AC cab can pick you up from Delhi, Agra, or anywhere in Rajasthan for a seamless door-to-door experience.
For a comfortable Rajasthan tour covering the four main cities — Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, and Udaipur — plan a minimum of 7-8 days. For a more relaxed pace with additional stops at Pushkar, Ranakpur, Osian, and Chittorgarh, 9-10 days is ideal.
Our Royal Rajasthan 7D/6N package (Jaipur–Jodhpur–Jaisalmer–Udaipur) is the most popular choice for first-time visitors. It covers all four iconic cities, includes a night in a luxury desert camp, and visits all the must-see monuments without feeling rushed.
The most popular and practical route is Jaipur → Jodhpur → Jaisalmer → Udaipur (ending at Udaipur, which has the best airport for return flights to South India). Alternatively, you can reverse it: Udaipur → Jaisalmer → Jodhpur → Jaipur. Starting and ending at Jaipur (best connected for North India) or starting at Udaipur and ending at Jaipur is also common. VIP Tours designs the route based on your arrival and departure cities to minimise backtracking and maximise sightseeing time.
All inter-city transfers in our packages are by our own AC cab with your dedicated driver-guide — no public buses, no shared taxis. Your driver stays with you for the entire tour, so he gets to know your preferences and becomes a trusted companion by Day 3. This is one of our biggest differentiators — you have a private, comfortable car at your disposal at all times. For very long legs (like Jaisalmer to Udaipur, ~10 hrs), we depart after an early breakfast and break the drive at Ranakpur Jain Temples so it never feels exhausting.
Absolutely — this is actually our most common booking from South Indian customers. A typical arrangement: fly into Jaipur (morning flight from Bengaluru/Chennai/Hyderabad), start the circuit, and fly home from Udaipur at the end (good connectivity to all South Indian cities). We pick you up from Jaipur Airport on Day 1 and drop you at Udaipur Airport on the last day. Just share your flight details and we build the entire itinerary around your arrival and departure times.
We offer all three tiers. Our standard packages use quality 3-star heritage hotels and havelis — clean, comfortable, centrally located, and full of Rajasthani character. We also offer 4-star and 5-star upgrades (Taj, ITC, Oberoi properties) for premium packages. Our philosophy is to use heritage hotels whenever possible — staying in a 200-year-old haveli in the old city is a far more authentic Rajasthan experience than a modern chain hotel on the outskirts. All hotels are personally verified by our team for cleanliness, service, and location.

For large groups we arrange additional vehicles (Tempo Traveller for 9–12, two Innovas for 8–10). For elderly travellers, we pace the itinerary with shorter walking distances and comfortable vehicle access.
